Radiology workflow assurance

Stop empty imaging slots.

Every outpatient gets a short, scan-specific video by text. The patient arrives knowing what to do. You see who watched. You pay only for a confirmed view.

Why slots go empty

Late cancellations, no-shows, and patients who arrive unprepared all cost the department money, and some cost much more than others.

A missed X-ray costs a short time slot and a phone call to rebook.

A missed PET scan can waste the tracer dose made just for that patient. The expensive scanner sits empty, the technologist is left idle, and it's almost impossible to fill the slot on such short notice.

How ImReadyToScan responds

Every patient gets a short 1 to 3 minute video made for the exact exam they booked.

01

Send by text

The outpatient gets the exact prep video for the modality and protocol that was scheduled.

02

Patient watches

A real person explains the exam so the patient arrives knowing what to do.

03

Confirm the view

You see who watched. A green check shows next to each patient who tapped the button at the end of the video. Billing only happens when that button is tapped.

Where the breakdown begins

This is not an Epic problem.

Epic can book the appointment. It cannot make a rushed scheduler remember every prep rule, or make a worried patient remember a phone script.

Schedulers handle high call volume. Critical details get skipped. Patients then face medical language they do not understand. Some cancel because they are nervous. Some do not come. Some arrive and cannot be scanned.

Move the instructions into the patient’s hands.

In nuclear medicine, that pattern is familiar. A patient calls to cancel because the scan sounds frightening. A tech who explains the exam, the wait, and the prep often stops that cancel. The video gives that explanation the same way every time, before the patient decides to drop the appointment. It does not replace the tech. It handles the explanation the phone call keeps repeating.

A video will not stop a cancel caused by insurance or a changed order. It can reach the patient who is about to drop the exam because they do not understand it.

76% exams completed
24% missed appointments
~2% true no-shows

What the facility gets

The full outpatient list is covered.

Schedulers stay on booking

Schedulers do not have to deliver complex protocols on the call. Every patient gets the video for their exact exam and modality. When the video carries the prep, the scheduling call can stay on booking the exam.

Shorter calls, fewer prep mistakes

Calls get shorter, and prep mistakes from script fatigue drop. Shorter calls may let the same staff book more patients per day, and may shorten the wait to get that call.

Completed scans that show up

The missed-appointment rate will not fall to zero. It does not need to. Fewer fear-based cancels, fewer unprepared arrivals, and less prep work on the scheduling desk are enough to show up in completed scans.

Billing

Billing is only for a confirmed view.

The confirmation button appears only at the end of the video. The patient clicks it to confirm they watched. A text with no end-of-video click is not billed.

Modality Confirmed view
X-ray $0.30
Ultrasound $0.70
Mammography $0.80
CT $1.20
MRI $1.80
